We recommend turning the cushion bed as often as reasonably practical, once every day or every few days.

The main reason for turning the bed is to allow the movement of air between the cushion bed and the surface it sits on, whether that is one of our wooden beds or straight onto the floor

If air is not allowed to circulate appropriately dampness caused by ‘sweating’ between the surfaces occurs and the growth of mould is promoted.

This is not an issue caused by our product; it is an issue whenever two materials sit against one another.

Care guidelines

Please be aware that although we have taken great care in selecting the highest quality materials and technolgies to help ensure the maximum lifespan of our products against the inevitable dirt, mud, grim and everyday wear and tear they’ll be put through as your dog uses them, proper and regular care is of the utmost importance to ensure they are kept in good condition.

Below we have provided specific care instructions for your reference.

To maintain the desired condition of our scatter cushions they should be regularly plumped to adjust the cushion stuffing promoting a well-rounded and even shape.

Cushion covers should be regularly washed and the appropriate care taken when removing the inner cushion from within the cover to avoid placing excess stress on the zip and surrounding seems. When replacing the cushion inside the cover we recommend folding the cushion in half to easily re-insert before plumping to the correct shape.

Heavy soiling and staining of the cover should not be left for prolonged periods before cleaning.

We do not recommend washing the inner cushion, doing so is likely to deteriorate the cushion’s volume and ‘fluffiness’.

Cushion beds should be regularly cared for to maintain their appearance and maximise their lifespan. It is essential that the cushion beds are regularly turned and allowed to breathe which is the reason our cushion bed covers are printed on both sides.

Failure to regularly turn may result in the growth of mould on the inner cushion and in extreme circumstances onto the base of the wooden bed or surface upon which they sit.

Whilst turning the cushion bed they should be actively plumped to adjust the cushion stuffing promoting a well-rounded and even shape.

Cushion bed covers, as with our scatter cushion covers, should be regularly washed with the appropriate level of care taken whilst removing the inner cushion from within the cover to avoid placing excess stress on the zip and surrounding seems.
